About the Role
The DevOps Engineer will help Cornerstone improve how our applications are deployed, monitored, maintained, and scaled.
You'll work with our engineering team to strengthen deployment workflows, application availability, monitoring, and infrastructure reliability while gaining practical experience operating financial technology systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines.
- Support Node.js application deployment and process management.
- Help configure monitoring, application logs, and system health alerts.
- Support containerisation and environment configuration.
- Assist with database backup procedures and recovery testing.
- Help improve Redis and background-job deployment reliability.
- Document deployment procedures and infrastructure configuration.
- Review system performance and recommend safe, cost-effective improvements.
- Support incident documentation and approved maintenance activities.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of Linux servers and command-line tools.
- Familiarity with Git and deployment workflows.
- Knowledge of Docker or equivalent containerisation concepts.
- Basic understanding of networking, environment variables, and server configuration.
- Willingness to learn system monitoring and infrastructure automation.
- Ability to follow operational change procedures and document work.
Preferred
Expected Contribution
Improved deployment documentation, tested automation, monitoring improvements, and reliable infrastructure support.
Production deployment permissions and infrastructure access are granted according to experience and responsibility.
