About the Role

The Legal & Compliance Research Intern will help Cornerstone understand and keep track of the legal and regulatory requirements that apply to our services and operations.

You'll research regulations and guidance, organise findings, and help prepare internal policy documents for review by management and qualified advisers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research laws, regulations, and guidance relevant to payments, digital financial services, and data protection in Ghana.
  • Summarise regulatory updates and their possible implications for Cornerstone.
  • Help draft and maintain internal policies, such as data privacy, AML/KYC, and customer complaints procedures.
  • Maintain a compliance obligations register and document library.
  • Review website and marketing content for consistency with approved policies.
  • Support preparation of documentation requested by partners and advisers.

Requirements

  • Studying towards or holding a qualification in law, compliance, finance, or a related field.
  • Strong research, reading, and writing skills.
  • Ability to summarise complex material clearly and accurately.
  • High standards of confidentiality and attention to detail.
  • Interest in financial regulation, data protection, or fintech.
