About the Role
The Operations Officer will support the day-to-day coordination of Cornerstone's financial technology services, helping ensure that internal processes, merchant activities, customer support escalations, and partner interactions remain organised and efficient.
You'll gain practical exposure to operating a growing fintech platform, including transaction monitoring, settlement workflows, service quality, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor daily operational reports, transaction exceptions, and settlement statuses.
- Assist with tracking unsuccessful transactions, payment disputes, and issues requiring PSP intervention.
- Coordinate operational activities across Cornerstone Save, Collect, and Pay.
- Document standard operating procedures and support process improvements.
- Maintain issue trackers, operational dashboards, and partner follow-up records.
- Collaborate with customer success, engineering, and finance to resolve problems.
- Prepare weekly operational performance reports.
Requirements
- Studying towards or holding a qualification in business administration, operations, finance, or a related field.
- Good proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
- Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Basic understanding of digital payments or mobile money.
- Willingness to learn fintech operational processes.
